Attention All Gamers! Wal-Mart Has a New Trade-In Program

photo c/o Jeepersmedia

The word on the (stockmarket) street is that Wal-Mart is currently out to run GameStop out of business. The new trade-in program they are initiating will take a big bite out of GameStop’s major business play. Already, GameStop’s shares are approximately 6% down in trading.

Wal-Mart announced the official start of the program will be March 26, and every PlayStation, Xbox, or any other pre-owned video game trade-in will be exchanged for gift cards which can be used at any Wal-Mart or Sam’s Club purchase (online or in stores). It is currently only said to be participating in stores across the U.S., but will be become available to Canadians soon.

Wal-Mart just celebrated their 20 years in Canada. The first one opened March 17, 1994.

{ Fall Haul } Urban Outfitters, Sephora VIB Sale, H&M

Yay! Who doesn’t enjoy shopping and drooling at their purchases afterwards? I’ve made a few trips to my favourite stores recently, and hit up online shops as well. Some of these include Urban Outfitters, Sephora, H&M, eBay, and Etsy.

UO

My boyfriend was the one who told me about their amazing sale. 50% off their sale items. How exciting! I managed to snag 2 pairs of Jeffrey Campbell flatforms, as well as a pair from Deena & Ozzy with clear platforms.

Sephora

In an attempt to try a new skincare regime that works for me, I used my 20% off VIB trip to find new products. I picked up Lancome Bi-Facil as a makeup remover, Purity by Philosophy for cleanser, Lancome alcohol-free toner, Fresh Sugar Lips in Rose (loved it when I got it as the b.day gift last year). I really wanted to pick up the Laura Mercier Artist Pro palette but it was sold out 😦

H&M

I picked up two black dresses – one inexpensive and the other slightly overpriced (I think). I love the cage detailing above the waist, but I don’t think it justifies its $35 price tag. I picked it up because I knew I’d be upset if I didn’t. The other dress is a typical black bodycon with cut-outs ($15). Lastly, I picked up two sets of flower clips. I wear them a lot during the spring and summer, and the colours are so complimentary to my skintone.

{ Haul } Sephora & Walmart

Oh, how I love the sound of my nasally voice.

Products mentioned:

  • Tarte Amazonian Clay Brow Mousse
  • Urban Decay De-Slick spray
  • Sephora birthday gift!
  • Bliss The ‘Bod’ Squad set
  • Milani brow fix
  • Ponds towellettes
  • Maybelline transparent Great Lash for lashes or brows
  • L’Oreal Voluminous (Carbon Black) waterproof mascara

So, a little behind the brand Bliss. It was founded in 1996, and their headquarters is located in New York. They are multi-platform, so not only have they created products which are luxury spa quality, they also have spas located all around the world. For more information, you can visit http://www.blissworld.com.

I don’t suggest ordering products off their website if you’re from Canada, as shipping can be quite pricey. But if you’re looking for their basic best-sellers (ie. body butters, shower gels, FatGirlSlim products) then you can find a large variety of them at your local Sephora or the Sephora website.

* Please let me know if you’re interested in a review of any of the products I mentioned!

♡ Square One haul: Target, Sephora, Hot Topic, Walmart

Here’s yet another haul video. Are we getting sick of these yet? I really have no other ideas for videos though. But I do have something coming up which is a bit different.

As you may or may not notice, I don’t have my ombre hair in this video, and that’s because this footage is actually from last month. I’m falling behind with editing, but I have quite a few videos filmed. I shall try to get to those asap.

Sportswear Haul: National Sports, The Bay, Walmart

I say that I want to avoid doing hauls, yet I give you another one… haha. My bad. I know I’ve been promising more videos and more blog posts, but I seriously cannot get back into the habit.

Taking it one day at a time…
